This is the FABULOUS that we all need right now. We’d pretty much come to terms with not having a summer holiday this year. But with the Government’s roadmap allowing hotels to reopen, with appropriate distancing measures in place, from July 20 there’s still a chance to get in a summer getaway. And, lawd above, […]
Ah Aldi. We’re somewhat embarrassed to admit it, but we’ve really missed shopping over the past couple of months. Where once we would have spent hours around town drifting from shop to shop browsing, now a quick dash to our local convenience store is all the shopping we get to do. Doing ‘the big shop’ […]
We’ve got the weather, now bring on the wings! This bank holiday weekend, we’re forgetting Coronavirus worries, embracing the gorgeous weather and barbecuing absolutely everything. If you don’t usually do more than burgers on the BBQ, now is your chance to branch out and grill something new – toast is particularly good done on the […]
As soon as the sun comes out, we’re mad for a spritz. Ever since the Aperol washed a tide of bright orange joy into our lives a couple of years back, we’ve been big fans of anything that can be spritzed. Step forward our newest summer favourite: Lillet. The first thing you need to know about […]
Oh the weather outside is… delightful! How often do we get to say that in Ireland? May 2020 has been treating us very well on the weather front, and the bank holiday is set to be a mostly sunny one, with Met Éireann forecasting temperatures of up to 25C right across the long weekend. The […]
The serum will be available for a limited time from June 11! Hyaluronic acid has undoubtedly been the biggest buzzword in beauty in the past few years. Is it possible to fall in love at first sight… with a chair? We think it is. And we think we just did. A round of applause for Aldi which has been absolutely delivering this locked down summer. First it gave us the fire pits that caused something of a sensation across Ireland and the […]
It would be fair to say that I’m already a champion tea drinker, but during lockdown I may have reached Olympic levels. Has there been a time in the past two months when I’ve not been drinking tea? Yes, but only when the kettle was on to make the next cup. Blacks, green, herbal, in […]
Step aside Connell, the sexy priest is back, and he’s even wearing a chain. As the past few weeks have firmly established, we all fancy Paul Mescal. Women, men, Kardashians… everyone is a fan of Normal People‘s leading man. But long before lockdown there was another Irish actor making international pulses race: Andrew Scott. Though […]
We’d even be glad of a filet o fish at this point, tbh. Has any closed business been lamented during lockdown as much as McDonald’s? Like much of Twitter, we’ve pretty much spent the last 10 weeks craving it and speculating about our fantasy first order. Well, that time has finally come! McDonald’s have reopened […]
Anyone know a protection spell? As the country gradually begins to open up from Covid-19 lockdown, seeing people wearing masks looks set to be part of the ‘new normal’. In an update given last week, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said that the Government was recommending that people wear face coverings when going into enclosed spaces such […]
Health Minister Simon Harris has said that the numbers of guests that will be allowed at weddings later this summer is “highly unlikely to be anything like 100”. The Minister was speaking on RTÉ Radio One’s Morning Ireland, where he answered a range of questions from the general public in relation to the changes to […]
