A must watch. While Rochelle Humes may be best known for being a popstar, her latest documentary has become one of the most talked about of the year. The 32-year-old mother of three recently made a documentary revealing the statistics regarding black women dying in childbirth in the UK versus women of other ethnicities and […]
During the month of March we’ve discussed many health issues affecting the lives of Irish women everyday. Among these topics one thing that has arisen is that during the pandemic many health services such as breast examinations have been pushed back or cancelled. One programme in particular that has suffered during all of the lockdowns […]
Ok, who wants to go halfsies? Schitt’s Creek is one of those shows that really snuck up on me. I remember everyone saying to me ‘you have to watch Schitt’s Creek, it’s amazing’ but half way through the first season I just wasn’t convinced. Fast forward to the last episode of the final season and […]
An interesting idea. Omniplex, Ireland’s largest cinema chain, is considering running vaccine-only screenings. The cinema chain have said that it may be a way for them to reopen as currently all their 33 branches in Ireland are closed. The company director of Omniplex Mark Anderson recently discussed the vaccine-only screenings on Newstalk, but he admitted […]
Some good news. This week the government are set to announce the next steps in easing lockdown. While there is some light at the end of the tunnel in regards to the 5km travel limit and outdoor activities, by and large most of the current lockdown restrictions will remain in place. NPHET sources say that […]
Losing a child, no matter at what stage, is a terrible loss. New Zealand has just approved automatic paid leave for parents after miscarriages and still births, but it has me wondering why this wasn’t always the case? It also has me wondering why still in 2021 so few countries have this type of paid […]
A mascara icon. Growing up in the early 2000s there were two items from Maybelline that absolutely every girl had in her first makeup bag. They were Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse (always in the wrong shade of course) and Maybelline Great Lash mascara. I don’t think there was a teen makeup bag growing up that […]
It’s looking to be some cast line up. American Horror Story has been one of the biggest horror shows since its original release in 2011. The show usually has regulars such as Evan Peters (soon to play Jeffrey Dahmer), Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates, but it also likes to introduce fresh blood into the mix […]
The star passed away yesterday. Yesterday it was announced that Arrested Development actor Jessica Walter had passed away at the age of 80. The veteran actor had also starred in movies and shows such as Play Misty For Me, Archer, Amy Prentiss and The Group. Since 2003 Walter has been best known for playing the […]
Partition and a United Ireland have been widely discussed recently. During the week Claire Byrne hosted a panel discussion about the possibility about a United Ireland and it’s had a lot of people talking. In the wake of Brexit the idea of reunification has been at the forefront of many minds, with some thinking it’s […]
Another true crime must watch. Netflix have created several series featuring some of the world’s most notorious serial killers including the Night Stalker and Ted Bundy. Now it has just been announced that they will be releasing a new series on serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer with someone well versed in horror taking the […]
The 2000s teen in me needs this! I think we’ve all gone back to binge watching our comfort shows since the start of lockdown, sure what else would we be doing besides our 5km walk? Most of my re-watches have been my favourite shows from the 2000s, with everything from reality shows like America’s Next […]
