Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are returning to the UK after 6 years
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly moving back to England after spending six years in the US. The couple, who moved to America after stepping down as senior royals, have lived in California since 2020.
They announced that they were stepping down as senior working royals in January 2020. The pair spent some time in Canada before settling down in Montecito, California.
According to CNN, the parents are reportedly planning to return to England later this month.
They have enrolled their children, Archie and Lilibet, in British schools for the coming term, The Telegraph reports.
It is understood that the family will live in a private residence outside of London when they return to England.
CNN reports: “The King welcomes the opportunity to see more of the Sussex family in a private and personal capacity.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step down as working royals caused a major rift within the royal family, particularly between Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William.
Despite their return to the UK, there will be no change to Harry and Meghan’s status as non-working members of the Royal Family.
King Charles was informed of Prince Harry’s return to England on Sunday, August 16th.
Prince Harry and his family visited the UK last month. This marked the first time King Charles met his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, since 2022.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not yet commented on the news publicly.
