The Brown Thomas Christmas shop has opened 126 days before the big day
Christmas has officially arrived at Brown Thomas. From Thursday 20th August, the Christmas Shop opens at Brown Thomas Grafton Street, Cork and Limerick, as well as online at BrownThomas.com, unveiling an enchanting new collection of Christmas decorations, trees, wreaths, garlands, lighting and festive accessories.
The 2026 collection is four beautifully curated seasonal themes – A Christmas Tale, Golden Mistletoe, Winter Sweet and Alpine Christmas – each offering its own interpretation of the festive season.
At Brown Thomas, A Christmas Tale and Golden Mistletoe take centre stage, bringing together nostalgia, storytelling and a rich sense of occasion through elevated colour palettes, intricate decorations and statement pieces designed to transform the home.
Roslyn Ellis, Seasonal Buyer at Brown Thomas Arnotts, shared: “Christmas at Brown Thomas is about creating a sense of magic and theatre in the home, and this year’s collection is particularly rich in storytelling and beautiful detail.
“A Christmas Tale captures everything we love about a traditional Christmas – nostalgia, colour and familiar festive characters – while Golden Mistletoe offers a more refined and luminous interpretation of the season.
“There is also a real focus on choosing pieces that feel personal and can become part of Christmas traditions over time, whether it is a Brown Thomas keepsake, a statement decoration or the beginning of a Christmas village that can be added to year after year.”
Among the most anticipated additions for 2026 is the Brown Thomas Animated Christmas Decorative Tree (€195), launching in October. Inspired by the magic of Christmas at home, the illuminated tree features presents and the signature Brown Thomas shopping bag beneath its branches and plays eight favourite Christmas tunes.
The Brown Thomas Shopping Bag Tree Decoration (€20) also returns, offering a collectable celebration of the iconic Brown Thomas bag.
The Brown Thomas Christmas Shop is open from Thursday 20th August at Grafton Street, Cork and Limerick, and online at BrownThomas.com.
