How Your Christmas Jumper Can Help Beat Cancer

How Your Christmas Jumper Can Help Beat Cancer

This weekend, people from all over the country gathered at Relay for Life summit held by the Irish Cancer Society. Relay is a community fundraiser for the charity.

While the groups from each county gathered, one Carlow woman came up with a genius idea. Nicola Doyle, a longtime fundraiser and mother asked the participants to take a selfie in their tackiest Christmas jumper, posting on Facebook with the hashtag #ChristmasjumpersELFie.

You then have to challenge five of your friends to do the same and text ‘RELAY’ to 50300 to donate €4 to the Irish Cancer Society.

We think this is a fantastic idea and a great way to kick start the festive season while donating money to a very worthy cause.
