Lonely Planet says this is the ONE city you need to visit in 2019

If you haven’t been yet, 2019 is the year you should make this city a priority.

We are talking about Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, which, in all honesty, is one of my all-time-favourite cities. And not just because I am biased, being a Scandi myself.

No, this gorgeous city, which Lonely Planet recently hailed as the one city to visit in 2019, really is a must-see, especially if you are into things like design, architecture, shopping and food, which, let’s face it, we totally are.

With its modern design, 15 Michelin-starred restaurants and extremely bike-friendly culture, it’s no surprise that Denmark’s capital has topped Lonely Planet’s top 10 cities to visit in 2019 list.

For foodies, the street food scene is amazing, especially in the area of Refshaleøen, a former industrial area with a food and craft market, Reffen. and in 2018, Noma, the restaurant that officially put New Nordic cuisine on the worldwide stage, triumphantly returned home to Copenhagen.

And don’t even think about missing the Tivoli Gardens theme park (one of the world’s oldest), who are now offering a February winter season, says Tom Hall, Lonely Planet’s editorial director.

Fancy some winter sports in the city? There’s a new artificial ski slope and hiking area on top of a waste management centre, and when you are done with that, you can literally spend days on end exploring the amazing shops, tiny bakeries filled with baked goodies and just admire the amazing style this city has got by the bucketload.

So in love with the color and look of this building located in the heart of Copenhagen . Isn’t it gorgeous?. … Tomorrow afternoon I will swing by and grab a good cup of freshly brewed coffee here on my way back home from the talk I am invited to do in front of 200 highschool students in the Southern part of Denmark about ‘How to Make Dreams Fly’. Such an honor to be be given the privilege to fuel the young people with tools and inspiration on how to design a life in alignment with their dreams, values and sense of purpose?. Have a lovely day, guys. … #investinyourself #pursueyourdreams #releaseyourpotential #justdoit #nowishetime #visitcopenhagen @visitcopenhagen
