Brown Thomas cancel release of Yeezy runners due to health and safety concerns

Hundreds of people were seen queuing up this morning.

Brown Thomas in Dublin cancelled its release of Kanye West’s new Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s runners this morning due to ‘health and safety’ concerns.

Hundreds of people queued up in the early hours of this morning, before the store opened, in order to get their hands on a pair.

However, the department store admitted that it had over subscribed the release, and therefore would not be conducting it.

Brown Thomas wrote on Twitter: “We wish to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused this morning but as the planned Yeezy launch was significantly oversubscribed, for Health and Safety concerns, we were unable to conduct the release.”

It continued: “We will be updating our social media channels with details of a raffle during the week, to which all our customers will be able to participate. Again our apologies.”

While there were a lot of angry customers being turned away at the door this morning, others were praising the store for putting safety first.
