Kathryn Thomas revealed the new daily habits she has implemented after filming her RTÉ documentary.

Kathryn Thomas has opened up about the lifestyle changes she’s made after doctors gave her a frightening “wake-up call” about her health.

As part of her new RTÉ documentary, Young Forever: The Death of Ageing, the TV and radio star underwent several tests to analyse the rate at which she was aging.

She previously stated how the results from this documentary were an “awful wake-up call”, especially after being told by medical professionals that she was “cruising straight towards burnout.”

Kathryn Thomas told EVOKE that she’s incorporated new life changes, including the use of a new sleep clock.

“I have water filters in my house, and I’ve changed all my water. I have air filters in my house, and I’ve changed all my saucepans.”

“I wash all my fruit and veg in bicarbonate of soda. The documentary actually did have some sort of an impact, and I’m really waiting to see where the world of peptides will take us and where the world of biohacking will take us,” she added.

The Irish TV presenter believes there is a “huge potential” for better quality treatment in the next 10 years for both aging and cures for diseases such as Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Talking further about her medical results, Kathryn said that the doctors could see that she ate well and exercised often, but her sleep was “shockingly bad,” and her “cortisol levels were through the roof.”

“They said my cortisol levels are through the roof. The practitioner was like, “We need to have a talk. You live in a heightened and constant state of stress,” the presenter continued.

“And I said, “’Sorry, I actually wake up in the morning, I’ve got great energy. And she said, “But it’s your cortisol levels”. Even when I’m asleep, I am constantly in a state of stress now.”
